The double‑roller shredder operates with two cutter rollers rotating towards each other at low speed. After materials are fed into the hopper, they are grabbed by cutters and shredded through shearing, squeezing and tearing. Materials larger than the sieve aperture are re‑shredded repeatedly, while qualified materials discharge through the bottom sieve. It features automatic reverse rotation for overload protection against jamming. It is mainly suitable for flexible and hollow materials such as plastic films, jumbo bags, plastic buckets, rubber, fabrics, cartons and wood. Large hard metals are prohibited from feeding. Shredded materials can be directly conveyed to subsequent recycling processes.
